Cumbrian Pork Chops

At Basecamp North Lakes, we source our free-range Gloucestershire Old Spot Pigs from trusted local Cumbrian farms that use ethical and sustainable farming practices. Our Pork Chops are cut from the loin of the pig, which is a lean and tender cut of meat that’s perfect for grilling or frying. To really bring out the flavour of our Pork Chops, we recommend seasoning them with a blend of salt, black pepper, and paprika before cooking. This will help to create a delicious crust on the outside of the meat while keeping the inside tender and juicy.
How to cook...
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) or gas mark 4.
- Season the pork chops with salt and pepper, or any other seasoning of your choice.
- Heat a frying pan over medium-high heat with a little oil or butter.
- Once the pan is hot, add the pork chops and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned.
- Transfer the pork chops to a baking dish and place them in the preheated oven.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the pork reaches 63°C (145°F).
- Remove from the oven and let the pork chops rest for 5-10 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
