Keemun Black Tea, Flavourings.

DESCRIPTION

Our Earl Grey tea is traditionally blended and perfectly balanced with the finest Keemun black tea from China.

Earl Grey gets its wonderful aroma and flavour from oil of bergamot, which is extracted from the rind of the small acidic bergamot orange. This classic is elegantly presented and available in loose leaf or tea bags.

Earl Grey tea was named after Charles Grey, the second earl in his line. He was prime minister to King William IV in the early 19th century. The story behind the origin of Earl Grey tea goes that the Earl was presented with the recipe by a Chinese mandarin after his son’s life had been saved by one of the Earl’s men.

BREWING GUIDE

Use fresh water. Infuse 1 earl grey tea bag with freshly boiled water for 3 – 4 minutes. Can be served with milk and/or sugar, but goes particularly well with lemon.
