Our delicious mince comes from the finest beef sourced from Cumbria, it’s really important that our meat tastes awesome, all while supporting local farmers and this flavourful hearty mince certainly fits the bill!

We love using this in a tasty mid-week pasta dish, using Suma Nepoletana Sauce, Northern Pasta Fusilli, Appleby Creamery Eden Chieftain & Seasonal Veg from the farm shop.

How to cook...

  1. Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Add a small amount of oil and then add the Cumbrian Steak Mince.
  3. Cook the mince for 5-7 minutes or until browned, stirring occasionally to break up any large clumps.
  4. Reduce the heat to medium-low and add your desired herbs, spices, vegetables, and tomato sauce or broth, if using.
  5. Simmer the mixture for 15-20 minutes or until the flavors have melded and the sauce has thickened.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  7. Serve the Cumbrian Steak Mince with your favorite accompaniments, such as mashed potatoes, pasta, or rice.
