A fantastic rhythmed book, for young imaginations and parents who enjoy adding bit of fun to a day out in nature. The Grunts are a loveable couple who like to put out boulders for children to play on. They end up knocking over walls and these can be seen when out in real life, especially up in the Lake District. This book also helps young minds think about glaciers whilst being fun to read with lots of detailed and charming illustrations.

“Apart from the many challenges which are involved in producing a children’s picture book. Such as creating a concept, writing the story, sourcing illustrations, directing art, editing, proofing, formatting, publishing, printing and all the rabbit holes of learning, which each stage offers. Not to mention that I’m grammatically blind and still need correcting on words such as becuase or thurough, and Wordsworth I am not! There was still the challenge of producing a children’s picture book which people would want to buy in my local area the English Lake District, home to none other than one of, if not the, most famous picture book of them all, Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter.
With all the above considered against the minute chance that it might not have a negative effect on my bank balance, the joy of a new project which would span over 2 years from concept to completion, spending hours upon hours learning new skills, gaining knowledge, the moments of satisfaction, the potential of a small side business and a project which I could work around being at home in the evenings with a young family. I started on the journey of independently publishing a Lake District children’s picture book. That and I had just entered the world of sobriety, so I had a bit of extra time on my hands. “
