How to cook...

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Place the pork shoulder in a roasting pan and season with your favorite herbs and spices, such as garlic, rosemary, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add some liquid to the pan, such as chicken broth or apple cider, to keep the pork moist.
  4. Cover the pan with foil and roast in the oven for 2-3 hours, or until the internal temperature of the pork reaches 145°F (63°C).
  5. Remove the foil and continue roasting for an additional 30 minutes, or until the pork is nicely browned on the outside.
  6. Remove the pork from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.

Note: If you have a slow cooker, you can also cook pork shoulder boned and rolled in it. Simply place the pork in the slow cooker, add your seasonings and liquid, and cook on low for 8-10 hours, or on high for 4-6 hours, until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
